I have eliminated many of the links from this page because the sites were not being kept up to date. Much of the federal money for technology instruction had expired by 2005 and was not renewed. Many of the sites have disappeared or contain many invalid links. As the skill of teachers and students increase the need for this type of reference apparently has lessened.

A subset of the Awesome Library site, the teacher section include links on information to a variety of subjects including assessment, classroom management, instruction and safe schools. The technology section gives lesson plans for web based lessons and links to useful sites. Teacher.

Education World
http://www.education-world.com/
A variety of links to documents dealing with instruction, discipline, lesson plans, administration, school issues, and technology integration. No log in required so no chance of more spam! Great source. Teacher.

FromNowOn.Org: The Educational Technology Journal
 http://fromnowon.org/
The subtitle sums it up, educational technology information written by Jamie McKenzie who has become an internationally known speaker and critic of educational technology. Contains documents and links to technology related topics. Updated monthly. An "old-timer" that has gone through several name and URL changes. Teacher.

The Gateway to Educational Materials
http://www.thegateway.org/
An attempt to provide access to materials on a variety of subjects by a consortium of education and governmental agencies, hosted by Syracuse University. I always find something interesting when I use their search, but not necessarily what I was looking for. Teacher.

Texas Information Literacy Tutorial
http://tilt.lib.utsystem.edu/
A tutorial for information literacy skills. This introduces the concept of using online resources for research and then provides sources and strategies for carrying out searches. A good instructional tool, but new technologies are leaving it behind. Grades 6 - Adult.
