A great source for web sites for children. It has been
spun off from Theodore Tugboat but is still maintained by
the company which produces the program. It reamians one
of the better directories for children. Great place for
links! Grades PreK-8
International Kids' Space

A site where kids can publish their artwork or stories.
It includes stories and pictures from children around the
world. In 2000 it spun off its section for penpals as
Kids' Space Connection, http://www.ks-connection.org/.

KidLink

Kidlink is an international project dedicated to
promoting discussion between teenagers of all nations. (As
of June 2006 students in 168 nations were participating.)
By answering 4 basic questions, a participant is allowed
to join the discussion, which is moderated by the
Kindlink organization. Grades 5-10.

A collection of activities for children including a
section to help you find penpals. A new feature is
a collection of Java games. This site includes a few
links to other sites but the list appears dated and
several links are inoperative. There has apparently been
no new content since 2001. Grades 1-8.
Pauly's Playhouse

A collection of interactive games for children 3 and up.
More fun than educational but has links to other
educational sites. Grades preK-5
Surfing the Net With Kids

An index to the newspaper column of the same name, it
provides links and reviews to a wide range of subjects of
interest to school age children--and me, too! Grades 2-8+.
