Brief description: This is a fabulous spanish learning tool- students play the game by connecting the english word with the Spanish word, that is written on a flying insect. If the student mis-identifies the word, the word will repeat until the student gives the correct response.  Once the student correctly identifies all the words, the students advance a level.

Objectives: To practice basic Spanish vocabulary. To use as an integrative thematic unit with Science, English, and Spanish classes.

Prior Knowledge Required: Basic Spanish vocabulary including verbs.

      Rate the following 10 Criteria:
      1. Matches with intended curriculum: high- Reinforces and reviews basic English, Spanish and Science language and         concepts.
      2. Ease of download high- Quick and easy download.
      3. Clear and concise language medium- The language is easy to understand, and follow, however it requires color and            sound adjustment that may confuse a low- technology level person.
      4. Maintain student's interest high- The game is fast paced, colorful, and has funny sounds.  The more one can recall the        faster the game; for those who need to move slow, the game moves at the rate changes based the person's response.
      5. Learner participation high- The game talleys the levels completed; players must correctly identify the entire set of words      before advancement is granted.
      6. Evidence of effectiveness high- This is the best part.  The game forces the player to correctly identify the word; the first       time the player mis-identifies a word, the word set starts again.  The student must know all words before the level advances.           This is a great way to help the students memorize  vocabulary. Teachers can check for understanding by seeing the students           completed tallies.
      7. Objectionable bias low- This is a program that is useful for many subjects and many learning levels.  The program moves        at the particpants rate, and is as difficult or as simple as need is determined by student comprehension level.
      8. Documentation medium- There is a link to the creation site.  The information that is found there describes the intended            audiences and the various curriculum areas that can be used with this software.
      9. Clarity of directions medium- There are minimal directions offered with the trial; The game itself is easy to follow without       instruction.
      10. Stimulates creativity high- This is a creative approach to learning a foreign language; the colorful aspects and                        memorization procedure stimulates creative and fosters effective study habits.

Strong Points: Colorful; students must correctly identify all words before moving to a higher level; demands that students are capable of correctly identifying many parts of language at a quick pace.  Assists in aquiring language.
