Benchmark - Use narratives and graphic data to compare the past of their local community, the state of Michigan, and other parts of the United States with present day life in those places.

Introduction:

You and your team members are about embark on an expedition across the Great Lakes of Michigan.  Put on your captain's hat as we visit some of Michigan's wonderful lighthouses.  Lighthouses were an important part of Michigan's history.  Through this assignment you and your group will become experienced lighthouse researchers. Remember to keep tabs about your travels, as you will be reporting your findings to your classmates.
