• Microsoft Lesson Plans for Teachers ($28.)
• Tom Synder's One Computer Classroom (Worth $20.)
• New members receive one year with Scholastic Network ($200.)

• This grant provides lectures, round table discussions and networking meetings for teachers who use technology in the classroom.  It is not for beginners.
• Teachers must be connected to the Internet (either at home or school),  willing to join a listserv and ready to use the information shared by speakers and others.  Participants will share their their projects with the group.

• Lectures are scheduled to meet monthly on Saturday mornings.  The first two are set but future speakers will depend on the interest of the group.  Many of the speakers will be videotaped for public access television.
• We will gather at different sites in the Tri-County area.  Members of the class have volunteered these sites.  This means that you must be very aware of the schedule and continue to read the listserv.  Directions will be posted.

• There will be a snack list set up for each meeting.
• Chat and Networking:
• This year "Let's Talk Technology" will also meet informally once a month at the (Cafe Domain) (308 S. Washington in Royal Oak.)  Check the schedule for more details. This will not replace the Saturday workshops and is set up for those who wish more time for networking.
• "Technology Round Table"
• A new idea is developing using the TCI studios.  In addition to the Saturday speakers we will be providing a "Round Table Discussion" involving four class members or volunteer educators.  All are invited to watch.  The details are being worked out.  Come to the first class and hear more.  Bring your suggestions.
• Downloading Class:
• Several members of the class requested a lesson on downloading and multimedia.  This will be worked into the schedule as soon as possible.
• The Listserv:
To increase the use of the listserv you are encouraged to post items at least once each month.  Each month you will have topic suggestions.  We will always continue to post about

• grants
• workshops or classes that are offered in the area
• interesting URLs

• Take what they have learned back to their schools and districts.
• Share with the group at least TWO special projects they are doing in their classrooms.
• Help to evaluate the class.

• The enrollment fee to $175.00 for the year.  If you missed the first lecture, you will receive a video copy of it.
• Please call Eileen if you have any difficulties. Make the check out to MACUL Grant.  Please send the check to Eileen Heasley, 190 Paragon, Troy, MI 48098.  Before sending any check please call Eileen at 248-689-5634 to verify that there is still room.

New members:  This is not a class for beginners.  The target group is teachers who are online at home and/or school willing to join the listserv and able to use the information in a classroom setting.  New members must fill out the registration form  found at http://edcen.ehhs.cmich.edu/~eheasley/register.htm and mail or fax it to Eileen Heasley.
