Looking for Internet Training?

A series of intermediate Internet training classes will begin in the Detroit Area for educators who are seeking quality educational uses for the Internet. Eileen Heasley received a MACUL TAG Grant to organize this series of workshops. The workshops are free after a one-time registration fee of $40.00. Each session will include an expert speaker, time to share ideas with other teachers and a short focus on some instructional technology tools (digital cameras, Alpha Keyboards, Hyperstudio, PhotoShop, HTML editors, Webwhacker etc.).
There will be free software and other goodies for participants.
The sessions are set-up for the same group to attend all eight sessions. Before each month's session, the speaker will prepare the class with software and or directions through the use of the listserv.
Participants are expected to:
- Come to monthly sessions.
- Regularily post to the class mailing list.
- Take what they have learned and share with colleagues.
- Share information about projects they are doing in their classrooms..
The workshops begin November 15, 1997 and are scheduled for the third Saturday of each month through May from 8:30 a.m. to noon. This schedule may vary based on room availability and may vary. Classes will be held at the Central Michigan University (Metro Detroit Center) in Troy, Michigan. The class will use e-mail and a listserv for most communications. There is still room for participants.
Applicants must complete a Registration Form. Please fill out the form and return it as soon as possible.
