How do you think increasing state revenue by approving expansions of gambling at race tracks and possibly with additional American Indian tribes will decrease the debt? (evaluation)
Answer: With the combination of reducing funding for state funded programs and bringing in more money from gambling, the stateís debt will eventually decrease.

What are the programs mentioned in the article in which Granholm plans to reduce state spending? (knowledge)Answer: Granholm plans on reducing spending in virtually every area, including art subsidies, furloughs or layoffs for state employees, MERIT scholarships, and mental health programs.
