Using Grab to Make a Screen Shot
and
Converting Your Spreadsheet to a Jpeg
Extra Credit @ 10 points
A. Open the Grab Tool. Grab is found under the
Macintosh Applications, Utilities folder. Be sure that you are
not looking for Utilities under the Macintosh Application 09 folder.
B. Open your spreadsheet assignment in Excel.
C. Click on the Grab icon in your Dock.
D. Select, "Selection" under the Capture menu.
Highlight the part of your spreadsheet you wish to copy.
E. Under Edit, select "Copy".
F. Open AppleWorks, "Drawing".
G. Under Edit, select "Paste".
H. You should see your spreadsheet.
I. At the top of your spreadsheet, type a caption.
Insert a piece of clip art. Under File, select "Show Clippings",
and drag a piece of clip art into your document. Reduce the size
of the clip art to fit into your page.
J. Group all of the images on your document so that all
of the images move at once. To group, remember to click on the arrow tool
first. Draw a perforated rectangle around all of the images in your document.
You should see dots around every image and the clip art. Under Arrange,
select "Group".
K. Create a new blank page in Netscape Communicator

L. Import the spreadsheet.jpeg. Center the
image.
M. Change the background of the page to white.
1. Under Format, select "Page Properties".
2. Select, "Use Custom Colors".
3. Double click in the gray box next to background.
4. Change the background to whitte.
N. Under the graphic, post the transparent horizontal
line.
O. Under the horizontal line, type, Return
to Main Page
P. Highlight the Return
to Main Page
text and make it a link to your Web site's index.html
page.
Q. Make a link from your introductory/index.html
page to your spreadsheet page.
R. Save the new blank page
with your spreadsheet.jpeg on it as: spreadsheet.html
