Drew Middle School is an excellent place for learners. Our mission involves the community, parents, students, and staff members working together to meet the developmental needs and diversity of young adolescents.

Computer Technology

Approximately 20 staff members from our school participated in 15 hours of telecommunications training during 1995. The telecommunications training guided teachers and staff members to locate resources on the Internet about middle level curriculua related to interdisciplinary units, advisory programs, and flexible scheduling. Teachers also collaboratively developed lesson plans by using e-mail.

The instructional staff practices telecomputing skills in the teacher computer lab that was installed in 1995, through funds from the Michigan Schools In the Middle: Restructuring Project. Teachers also received computer applications training about ClarisWorks and Grade Machine, a grading and attendance reporting program.
