"What didn't go right?"

You've heard this line from Bush, right? Now read this article and understand what he meant by it.

Seriously, it freaks me out that the federal government's response to Katrina was exactly as Bushco intended. These people believe that the federal government simply does not exist to help people. Rather, it's every man, woman, or child for him or herself. Their attempt at dismantling social security was a big clue for a lot of people. Our only hope is that this disaster will serve as a wake-up call to people who watch Fox News, listen to Rush Limbaugh, and vote Republican. I mean, did you see that clip of Shepherd Smith getting all up in Sean Hannity's and/or Bill O'Reilly's grill. I mean, when these spineless corporate hacks in the media are outraged, maybe a little of that outrage will finally trickle down to the dummies who voted for Bush for stupid reasons (i.e. every reason). Their lies and/or complicity have, I think, traditionally been what keeps John Q. Public from ever getting the truth about these evil motherfuckers who are destroying, yes I said DESTROYING, our country.

Here's a nice comic from Keith Knight.

If only something like this could really happen. Sigh. The ending is what gets me.

Ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-changes

Well, I’m heading back to Mount Pleasant. I don't belong here. And my chest hurts. So I quit my job yesterday. It was just killing me, possibly literally.

So what will I do now, you ask? Hmmm. Good question. Well, hopefully I will sub as much as possible, and I suppose I might return to CMU for grad school. But, really, I just need to get back home, where I belong. And ASAP. That's the most important thing. I miss my friends and my dad and my home.

Further updates as they become available. :)
