Colossal Youth

So exactly HOW hip am I? Well, the soundtrack to my run last night was Colossal Youth by Young Marble Giants. Yep.

It looks like I'll be doing Contraband (my old radio show) again in the fall. And maybe this summer. I've kinda missed being the hippest college DJ at CMU (since Jason Hundey went off the air). Besides, it's really my last chance, as I don't expect to be in this position again. I've already spent 9 total years at CMU. Anymore and they had better be paying me! Which, of course, COULD happen someday. I think I might like to come back someday and teach future English teachers, like Dr. Steffel does.

So today is the last day of classes for this semester. I'm practically done. I have a pretty easy exam week next week. Better get to it! :)

A whole lotta bloggin goin' on?

Nope. Not really. I had been pretty busy during the last few weeks, but now I am on cruise control through finals. Well, final. I only have one.

So this was a quiet weekend. D was out of town, so I went to the Bird Satruday night and had a good time on only one beer. You know how sometimes you don't really feel like drinking? Well, that's how I felt. Anyway, I ran into several cool folks that I don't get to see or talk to much, including Allison from 91.5. We talked, again, about my bringing back Contraband, my old show. I think I'd like to do it. I just hope I'm not too busy this fall. I am going to have real classes then, no EDU blowoffs, you know. but still, I can do it in the summer, and I will certainly have the time then.

Do you know what the male refractory period is? If not, look it up. Mine is around an hour. Maybe less. I didn't have a stopwatch. :)

Oh, check this out. This Jay Z thing has gone too far! :)

And I watched series 2 of The Office last week. Too funny.

I have been running harder, better, and more intensely than ever recently, but on Saturday I might've taken it too far. I upped my mileage by 50% and felt it for a day afterwards. I'm back on today, but I'm gonna have to go light. Silly runner boy!

Okay, I promise to blog on a more regular basis now that school is nearly done. You can look forward to detailed descriptions of every meal and bowel movement. Enjoy!
