Amazon.com Is For Republicans?
Well, sorta. 60% for Republicans anyway, which is bad, bad, bad, but still not quite bad enough for me to stop shopping there. Yesterday afternoon, I did some last minute shopping at Amazon and minutes after I placed my order, I received an email from my old friend Tom, forwarding this article.
The gist is that there are some web sites (here and here) detailing how much money various corporations donate to the political parties. That way you can feel good about spending your money at Starbucks, Bed Bath and Beyond, Barnes & Noble, and Netflix AND avoid spending your money with Coors, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Fruit of the Loom, Circuit City, Holiday Inn, Marriott hotels, American Airlines, Wal-Mart, and K-Mart. I'd also suggest letting retailers and franchisees know you're doing it too. ;)
