Ted Rall: Triumph of the Stultocracy
In this scathing op-ed piece, cartoonist Ted Rall decries ignorance so stupefying, it makes his brain hurt. I know the feeling, Ted.
You've heard, surely, that saying about getting the leaders we deserve? Well, Rall seems to agree, begrudgingly, summing up our current situation as "government by morons, for morons."
The gist?
"The fact that these yahoos are allowed to vote is an abomination. Their ill-considered ballots cancel or dilute those cast by those who do the heavy lifting that makes them good citizens: keeping abreast of current events, researching issues, studying candidates' positions. "
Seriously, read this. You will enjoy it tremendously.
Thanks to Sandy, yet again, for forwarding this one to me.
