10 more weeks until election day

Despite that things are trending towards a Kerry win in November, and that I mostly see Kerry stickers and signs, I DO think that Bush has his supporters around here. It’s just that they are not nearly as fervent as Kerry’s. Republicans must surely know that their guy is not a winner, that he is at great risk of losing, and is really unworthy of their support anyway. And as for undecideds, for quite a while I’ve maintained that the more people learn about Bush, the less they will like him. And I think that’s what’s happening, now that people are starting to pay attention, with the election growing near. Over a year ago, I supported the President and believed what his administration said about Iraq and, really, anything else. Since then, I’ve learned what liars they are and it has infuriated me. They are so bald-faced about it, utilizing the Reagan-era tactics of “if you say it five times, it’s true” and “tell the lie to the big audience, safe in the knowledge that a fraction of it will hear the correction/contradiction. Shame on the news media, BTW, for only reporting and rarely investigating. There are wonderful examples from back in 2000 where Bush said one thing and Gore said another and the news media said “Who’s right? Who knows?” When the truth was easily discovered, but never reported. Ugh. And don’t get me started on their non-coverage of the conventions. They are probably attributing Kerry’s increases in the polls to a post-convention bump, but how can there be a bump from a convention that was barely covered. If a tree falls in the forest…

10 more weeks until election day. Whatever will I concentrate on starting November 3rd? My studies? :)

Wow, somebody's trolling through posts that are over two months old. I think I have a stalker! Oooh!

Hey, sorry your comment got deleted, sweetie, but it wasn't so much your dropping of the eff bomb as it was the use of all caps. It's simply bad form.

But thanks for spending so much time on me, digging deep, deep, deep into the archives. Might I recommend going back as far as April or May of this year. There should be some good ones from when I was dating a seriously hot, seriously crazy person.

Cheers,

AP
