Salon.com: On the phone with Ralph Nader

Boy, there's just no getting through to Ralph Nader. He is either willfully obstinate or completely detached from reality. Or both. He simply refuses to accept the fact that he is a tool of the GOP at this point, and he is only contributing to the possibility of a perpetuation of the Bush regime. We have a very real chance to stop the further degradation of our society, and to reverse the damaging effects of the past 3.5 years of Bush rule, and Nader doesn't seem to care. His own agenda, it seems, comes before the good of the country. I'm starting to think that maybe he is losing touch with reality in his old age.

Additionally, if Nader were a true patriot, he would set aside his vanity and get behind John Kerry in ending our collective Bush nightmare. Why doesn't he see it? I see it. And I'm just a soon-to-be high school English teacher.

So anyway, after a number of decidedly negative articles in Salon.com, Nader called them up. The resulting exchange is quite telling.
