Rainy Day Whinin' #12 & 35
Some thoughts:
Gas is now well up over $2.00 a gallon. Which doesn't bother me much. I have a fuel efficient car and a bike. But maybe it'll wake up some of these people with their HUGE ASS trucks. I mean, I suppose it's perfectly okay, "patriotic" even, for lower-class American boys and girls to go to Iraq and fight and die for YOUR right to drive a tank/house on wheels. But $2.25 a gallon?! Hey, this is America, buddy! Well, you know what? I'd rather walk. I don't want anyone to die for my right to drive a hugely wasteful automobile. "Support the troops, Andy." I support the troops by riding my bike and voting for a President who won't recklessly endanger their lives under false pretenses and for profiteering purposes. If people are so hot for President Bush and what he is doing in Iraq, they should put their FUCKING money where their FUCKING mouths are and sign up for tours of duty in Iraq. God knows they need help over there.
In other news, the grades from last semester are in. I did well:
EDU 450 A
EDU 495 A
ENG 460 A
HST 320 A
HST 392 B
GPA 3.8
I made the Dean's List, but if I'd known I was going to come so close to all As (President's List), I'd have actually put some efforts into my African history class. Rats.
This was sad news.
Okay, I've got nothing else that I want to blog about. Or as the Canadians say, "aboot."
