Beefcake!
Oh yeah, here's a weight-loss/new leaf/fitness update:
My weight is down to 195.2. D and I were talking about it, and I think my goal should be 185. That should be good. We'll see. I was less than 170 in 1996. And I was pretty hot then. Buuuut...I was also 27. :)
My running has been going really well this spring, but I did dial it back to once a day. I was really starting to fucking hurt. Once a day feels right, though sometimes I really long for that second run in the evening. I think I'm at about 40-45 minutes now. Pretty speedy pace too. I feel great. I can remember how bad it got, how lousy I felt the last few years. But I'm already worrying how I'm gonna keep up this pace next winter. I really need to live someplace warmer. Even Kalamazoo, my ideal next home, is 5-10 degrees warmer than Mount Pleasant. In the winter, that can often be the difference between running and NOT running.
I'm listening to this. I never truly appreciated these guys when I was a kid, but I am starting to get it now. This movie got me started on them again. I remember this freaky-deaky dude that lived in Barnard Hall who was all about Joy Division, and I thought, "anything this weirdo is into is NOT for me." So shallow. :)
