     STUDENT TEACHING    
             IN GHANA

                          

I have developed an international student teaching site in Ghana, West Africa.  In fall of 2004 I accompanied the first group of 11 student teachers to Tema, a city located just 30 minutes outside of the capital city of Accra.  Student teachers were placed in schools with international reputation including SOS-Hermann Gmeiner kindergarten, primary, middle, and high school, Tema International School, St. Paul’s, and Tema Parents Association School.  Between 2004-2005, 29 student teachers from CMU have completed their field experience in these schools.
