This is the official site of the Louvre, and it contains an abundance of information for students of language or culture. It is well organized, and easily accessible to all language learner levels, as most of it is available in French and English. It contains information about the history of the museum, as well as information about the works it contains. Students can read recent news, as well as articles and publications about the museum. Also available is tour, workshop, and admission information for those interested in actually visiting the museum.

The site is a valuable tool to students studying French culture, as well as students of French language. It gives students who have not ever had (or may never have) the opportunity to visit the museum a chance to look at the building itself as well as some of the featured art. The Louvre is not only an amazing historical building in France, but it contains some of the world's most famous and valuable pieces of art. It also features  current artwork and on-going exhibitions of modern artists. Through the site and the tour, students will be able to access an important feature of French culture, as well as have exposure to Web sites in French.
